Chef Al Competes on Food Network's Best Baker in America

Best Baker in America, which premieres Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 10|9c. Hosted by Adam Rapoport and judged by new-Star Jason and Marcela Valladolid, this six-week contest will bring eight of the country’s most-accomplished bakers together at the oven in to face off in a series of expert-level challenges. On the line? A whopping $25,000 prize, but also the chance to earn the coveted title of Best Baker in America. To earn these sought-after prizes, though, the bakers must demonstrate technical excellence and a mastery of flavor combinations, and they must bring their A-game when it comes to creativity, originality and in-the-moment decision-making. The tasks at hand will be far from simple, even for these professional bakers. But with the demanding eyes of host Adam, expert-baker Jason and kitchen-superstar Marcela, the competitors will have no choice but to rise to the occasion if they want to claim the top spot. Ready to meet the bakers? Read on below to find out who’s competing.
